This is the Ninjago costume I made for my son’s sixth birthday last year. It was a big hit with our little guests, everyone had their picture taken with him and he was guest of honour throughout the festivities.
I used packing boxes, yellow duct tape, polystyrene for the head and spray paint. The whole costume took roughly a week to create, I didn’t count the hours but I would guess at 15 or so. The hardest part was creating the head, I used a water dispenser for the shape and carved polystyrene to create the curved top and bottom. The polystyrene was a nightmare, I am not sure I will ever work with it again! The pieces went absolutely everywhere and stuck to everything that passed by.
However, it was totally worth the work as my son loved having Lloyd to his party and it really provided the wow factor for the party.
